In memory of an Angel is a blog that Becky Norris started after her little girl passed away when just 3 hours old. To read her story click here and start from the beginning (her blog is also listed at the end of my blogs). Since this loss Becky and her family have been creating bereavement boxes in her daughter Delany's memory. These boxes go to families that have had a loss such as Becky's and find themselves unprepared for there short time with their baby. The boxes include items such as a disposable camera, a journal, a cd of music, Kleenex, a brag book and more. This box also gives the family something to carry there babies precious belongings home in. Becky is currently making approx 40 boxes twice a year and donates them to Banner Desert Hospital. As we are preparing to make another delivery of boxes the following are things we need donated if possible:
- Disposable cameras (indoor use and with a flash)
- Journals (we find little ones in the dollar section at Michael's)
- Brag books
- Hard Candy
- Blank CD's for music
- Memorex CD labels
- monetary donations can also be made to help cover the cost for the actual boxes and supplies to decorate them.
