Christmas 2009

Wow, where has all the time gone?? Wayne and I were talking the other day and could not believe we had been back in the states for 6 years this January. The saying "time flies when you are having fun" no doubt.
As I think back to this past year I realized how quickly my little girls are growing up. Haylee is so bright (and doesn't forget anything). She is bossy and knows what she wants AND she is so caring concerned about others. She cannot get enough of her cousins and always wants to play. She has been taking dance the past few months and seems to really be taking to it. She recently started pre-school and a cooking class as well. She gets a kick out of all of this. I figured structure and real school was going to come soon enough. Plus this she can start looking into things that really interest her. A day does not go by that I do not laugh at something Haylee says, today we were at Home Depot looking for the showers and she goes where are the damn showers...I looked back at Wayne who was pushing Taelor in the cart and said "did she just say what I thought she said?" Sure enough, the problem is I have a VERY hard time telling her not to say things when I am laughing (the lady walking past got a kick out of it as well). I think I have mentioned this one before, but I have the word "family" made out of wood on our entertainment center and she was in trouble for something and she said "mom, you know that up there says family, we are a family and you cannot get mad at me". That is now an on going joke in our house :) I could go on and on. We love our Haylee she is a BIG help and everywhere we go we get stopped about her pretty red hair, she just smiles and says thank you :) We have no doubt she will be a leader and great friend in life.

Taelor (TJ) is developing quite the personality. We were thinking she was going to be our "calm" one....umm not so sure anymore, it's like she woke up :) She is VERY energetic and let's you know if she is not getting her way. She is very much into climbing on EVERYTHING right now. I feel like I get her out of one thing and she is already on to another before I can get to her. It really is kind of funny if someone were to record my day they would probably get a good laugh out of it. Everywhere we go Taelor waves and says Hi to everyone. Today at Walmart this guy was walking by us and we were headed in the same direction and TJ kept saying HI HI HI HI over and over it was hilarious. Taelor loves her big sister and is now copying everything Haylee does. She has decided that she no longer wants her booster seat she repeatedly tries to seat in a big chair (which makes me nervous).

Wayne is very much into making a Lotus 7. This has been something that has interested him, but he has been inspired by a dear friend he lost in May, Kanga. Kanga loved to build things and lived his life to the fullest. His passing has helped Wayne realize that life is to short and you only get one shot so if there is something you want to do DO IT! Wayne still works a Brighton Ranch in Scottsdale and loves it there. (HATES THE DRIVE) and he enjoys coming home to the girls every night and boy do they love seeing him.

This the the car he is building.

This is the start of his car.

As for me, I try to make each day fun for my kids. I enjoy watching them grow, change and interact with each other. I feel very fortunate to be blessed with such a beautiful family and that I am able to be here with them each and everyday.

We hope this finds everyone well and that you all have a

very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!
